Innsbruck chains nature with culture

Innsbruck is called the capital of the Alps: a magnificent mountain scenery surrounds the city. With the Nordkettenbahn cable car it only takes you 20 minutes to get to the top of the mountain directly from the city center. Hiking, mountain biking, skiing are just some of the sports for which you will find optimal conditions here.

The heart of Innsbruck is the charming Old Town with the famous Golden Roof, the City Tower and the Imperial Palace. In the idyllic narrow lanes of the Old Town you will find many small fascinating shops and in the warm season, cozy garden restaurants invite you to sit down and enjoy a coffee and apple strudel.

With the recently opened "Haus der Musik", Innsbruck has a new hotspot for music and theater beside the "Tiroler Landestheater". A special cultural highlight takes place every summer: The Ambras castle concerts and the Festival of Early Music.

Our tips for your holiday in Innsbruck

Day trip to Neuschwanstein Castle

The Neuschwanstein Castle - the famous fairytale castle - was built by King Ludwig II and is located in southern Bavaria. Neuschwanstein is accessible from Innsbruck in about 2 hours by car. Enjoy a scenic journey through the idyllic Fernpass and the beautiful Fernsteinsee lake. A day trip with a mini-van costs about EUR 95,00 per person (minimum 3 persons) and include the transfer and the entrance to the castle. The tour can be booked at our reception. If you prefer to make the tour with your own car, please remember to book the tickets for the castle in advance because - especially in the summer months - tickets are often sold out.
