We will keep this data in a guest register and store it for a period of 7 (seven) years in accordance with our legal obligation under § 19 of the Registration Act Implementation Ordinance. The data will not be transferred to a third country.
1.3. Data transfer
The data categories “arrival” and “departure” linked to the country of origin are forwarded to the municipality in which our accommodation is located in accordance with § 6 of the Tourism Statistics Ordinance. Aggregated data on the total number of overnight stays and the number of persons liable to pay the tourist tax must also be transmitted to the Innsbruck and its Holiday Villages Tourism Association, of which we are a member. This is done on the basis of § 19 of the Tyrolean Tourist Tax Act.
1.4. Legal basis for processing
The processing operations referred to in points 1.1 to 1.3 above are based on Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR (legal basis).
1.5. Additional data transfer to TVB/municipality
In addition, we forward your postal code and year of birth (in pseudonymized or anonymized form) to our municipality and our TVB for statistical purposes for the creation and evaluation of origin and age statistics by the tourism association. This transfer is based on Art. 6 (1) (e) (task in the public interest) and (f) (overriding legitimate interests) GDPR. You may object to this at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation (Art. 21 (1) GDPR).
2.1. General information
You have the option of obtaining a WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS. The WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS entitles you to discounts and/or services at various businesses in the region (e.g., discounted admission). . The WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS is valid for the duration of your stay with us.
2.2. Issuing the WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS
The WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS will only be issued and handed out by the accommodation provider at your request. It is issued either in the form of
• an electronically generated WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS or
• a manually created WELCOME CARD,
depending on the WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS system used by the TVB and/or the accommodation provider.
2.3. Processed personal data
For both the electronically generated and manually created WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS, the following pseudonymized personal data (see Article 32 GDPR), which is determined from the registration data (see point 1 above), is processed:
First name, first letter of last name, age category (for adults/children), country of origin, and length of stay (arrival/departure).
When using the WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS, the following additional personal data is processed: data on the usage cycle of the respective card, service usage, bookings, transaction logging, reference to the registration data by means of the registration form number and accommodation provider.
The data is required to verify identity and determine the validity period of the WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS with the respective service provider, and to enable the settlement of discounts between service providers, the TVB, and, if applicable, the accommodation providers.
2.4. Operation of the WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS system
The WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS system is operated by the local tourism association (“TVB”). Local accommodation providers and local businesses (“service providers”) are also involved.

The processing of data for the purposes of the WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS is based on the General Terms and Conditions of the WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS specified in the supplement and the data protection information specified therein for the fulfillment of the contract. The statistical evaluation of pseudonymized data is based on the legitimate interest of the TVB (Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR), taking into account the legal tasks of the tourism associations according to the Tyrolean Tourism Act 2006, § 3 (2) (b), (d) and (e) and § 7 DSG.
2.6. Recipients of the data
The data processed for the purposes of the WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS is received by the local tourist board for billing purposes vis-à-vis the service providers and/or accommodation providers. The individual service providers who grant discounted services on the basis of the WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS also receive the data if you use the WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS services provided by these companies. In order to take advantage of discounts, you must present the respective WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS, on which the data is displayed, to the service provider and thus disclose it yourself. The business then checks whether it is (still) valid, usually by reading the barcode on the WELCOME CARD / WELCOME CARD PLUS and transmitting the barcode data to our IT processor. In doing so, pseudonymized personal data is also transmitted to the entrepreneur (first name, first letter of the last name, age category (for adults/children), country of origin, name/designation of the accommodation provider, card ID).
